Today I wanted to focus on something important, making your dream content a reality quickly. Let’s focus on this topic a bit today so that you can create content you’re proud of. Here are some ideas to help you get started with the content you’ve been dreaming of.
📝Write your ideas down when they come to you. You won’t remember them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought of an idea or had a dream that sparked a creative thought only to lose it to my memory. Don’t rely on your memory to see you through this! Get stuff done by writing things down.
✏️Create detailed outlines. Go past the ones you created in school. I will often write extra lines of text when outlining to refer to as I write my piece. Write down as much information in your outline as you need to create the perfect content.
🖊Give yourself a deadline even if the content isn’t perfect yet. Don’t let perfectionism stall you. Instead of falling victim to “it’s not perfect yet,” tell yourself you will stop picking at it in one hour. Have you ever taken a test where you picked over and swapped answers? Often those swapped answers are wrong. We have to trust our guts and be able to put down or editing pens eventually.

We love to dream about all the things that we want to do. I believe that dreams can help us shape our realities, but there is still work that needs to be done. You have the power inside you to start that blog, create YouTube videos, run a successful podcast, et cetera. It can be scary to start a new adventure, but you’ve got everything you need inside you right now. Instead of dreaming about the content you want to create, create a plan of attack and get it done. People focus too much on bringing in hordes of traffic and not enough on the kind of traffic they are attracting. You want to build your top of funnel with traffic that relates to what you sell.⠀

If you want to build the top of your funnel the right way, you’ve got to start with a buyer persona. Who are you trying to attract? What are they passionate about? What do they do? Get as detailed as possible. You can do this by looking at your analytics, checking out your ideal audience on social media, and talking to your customers face to face. Give your persona(s) a name to humanize them.⠀

Once you know who you are trying to sell to, write content that would attract those people to your site. Ask yourself, would my buyer persona(s) like the content I produce? Would they gain any value from it?⠀

After all of that is done, it’s time to promote the content. Where do your ideal audience members hang out? Are they hanging out where you are posting? Are you trying to find them? Consider all the ways that you can reach them. Posting on social media, guest posting in your niche, using SEO, creating helpful content like infographics or podcasts to go with your content, et cetera. Don’t be afraid to experiment to find your ideal audience.⠀

Break it down and start with the right foundation. You are bound to connect your content to the best potential customers if you do.⠀
